How to Export GPX Files from Strava

Strava makes it easy to export your recorded activities as GPX files, which you can then upload to GpxOverlay. Here's how to do it using the Strava website (exporting is typically not available directly from the mobile app).

Steps to Export GPX from Strava:

  1. Log In: Go to strava.com and log in to your account.
  2. Find Your Activity: Navigate to the activity you want to export. You can find it in your feed, your profile, or under the "Training" > "My Activities" section.
  3. Open Activity Details: Click on the title of the activity to view its detailed page.
  4. Locate the Export Option: On the activity details page, look for the three dots icon (ellipsis icon: ...) usually located near the top left, next to the activity title or map. Click this icon.
  5. Select "Export GPX": From the dropdown menu that appears, choose the "Export GPX" option.
  6. Download the File: Your browser will download the GPX file, usually named something like `[Activity_Name].gpx`. Save this file to a location you can easily find.

Important Notes:

Once downloaded, you can upload this `.gpx` file directly to GpxOverlay to start creating your video overlays!
