Improved Vertical Speed Smoothing

The vertical speed indicator (VSI) now displays smoother, more visually appealing data with decimal values instead of whole numbers.

What Changed

Previously, VSI displayed only whole numbers due to GPX elevation data being stored with 1-meter precision. This caused choppy readings that jumped between integer values.

VSI data is now smoothed to show decimal values (before, the decimal was always .00), creating fluid transitions and a more professional display. Moreover, the value is rounded to 1 decimal place. (eg. 2.3 m/s)

NOTE: The smoothing is for visual enhancement only - it doesn't increase the actual GPS data precision, which remains limited by the original GPX file's accuracy.

Try the Improved VSI DisplayExperience the enhanced vertical speed indicator with smooth decimal values in your next overlay project.
